All Gladeclan warriors are born with pale blue eyes. Each cat is born with a season, which does not depend on the time of year that cat was born into. No cat is aware of which ceremony they can claim is theirs until their warrior ceremony.

The season that a warrior if gifted with will leave its mark on the warrior. The eyes are the window to the soul, they say. From pale blue, the colour of the warrior's eyes will change on the night of the warrior's ceremony as they sit vigil.

- Gold Eyes for Leafall/Autumn
- Red eyes for Greenleaf/Summer
- White eyes for Leafbare/Winter
- Green eyes for Newleaf/Spring

Being linked to a season makes that warrior a much more gifted hunter during that time, no matter the weather or the color of their pelt. It is believed that mating with a cat who is the same season as you profits good fortune for the clan. However, it is also believed that a blind cat is unlucky, as their eyes remain blue and are never blessed by the seasons.

When a cat becomes a leader, their eyes turn iridescent, they have no colour yet are rainbow at the same time, when caught in the light. This is because a Gladeclan leader is linked to all of the seasons. The eyes of the leaders and medicine cats reflect their emotions through weather patterns. This can sometimes be difficult for them, as their eyes can betray so much emotion. These weather patterns can be of any season, not just their chosen one.

Winter Example: Snowstorm in the eyes when they are mad, or rain when they are sad.
