A bubbling creek runs through Shadowclan and provides them with most of their water, as it carves around the outside of their camp. The cheerful bubbling of the creek reminds the Shadowclan cats of singing.

To the east of Shadowclan territory is a section of trees that are curved and misshapen. The trunks themselves curve and twist around each other as if in dance. Because of the thick tree canopy, the forest floor is in perpetual darkness. Among the shadowed nooks and crannies, an abundance of prey can be found.

The rose garden is a circular glade that has been taken over by wild roses. Climbing roses have spiraled up the trunks of all the trees and vine roses creep across the floor in intricate patterns. This is a beautiful place in new-leaf and an amazingly haunting one in leaf-bare when there are no roses. Plenty of herbs can be found here among the blooming flowers.

At a place where the trees break in a wide circle to let the sunlight flood through, the ground is sandy and soft. Mentors often bring their apprentices here to train them on the soft ground and open area.

Where Shadowclan territory meets Flightclan, their dense forest ends and becomes a rolling hill down to the border. Because of the open area, Shadowclan cats can sometimes find rabbit here, though they are not experienced in catching them. Sometimes they come here just to feel the sun on their pelts. There are a few pale boulder scattered on the hill that hold heat well and make for good sunning.

Shadowclan's territory can prove to be a complex maze to those who don't know their way around. The territory is mainly marshlands, but these lands are covered with twisting gorse, ancient trees and wild rose bushes. Shadowclan's territory is like one beautiful, giant garden of the dead. It is a haunting place of silence that warns all visitors away, but to those that know their way through the twisting roses, it is magical.
